NIXON celebrates 10 years in the Making!

This year, as reported in the Herald, we are celebrating more than a decade of NIXON and being in business!

And to toast our success, we brought together our clients, colleagues and some of those whom we’ve worked with over the past couple of years at The Citizen in Glasgow, once the home of Glasgow Evening Times’ print room.

The story of NIXON was the headline of the evening where we enjoyed a night to celebrate our talented and brilliant NIXON team members alongside our clients.

The company was started more than a decade ago by Managing Director, Richard McFadzean and soon he was joined by Dominic MacConnell, Operations Director, and Tony Slevin, Director, growing the company into NIXON – a one-stop-shop offering quantity surveying, project management, civil and structural engineering, architecture, and construction under the one roof.

The team has grown in number and in the projects it delivers in the city and throughout the rest of the UK. Most notably, the NIXON team managed and delivered the reinstatement of Lancefield Quay in Glasgow this year after the building was severely damaged in a fire. Since its formation, NIXON has grown its portfolio adding a construction-arm to the company. NIXON Construction continues to see a surge in growth building a number of residential properties including 34 new apartments complete with a café/restaurant at The Millhouse in Paisley and the build of 27 new apartments at The Picture House in Dennistoun, Glasgow.

The tenth anniversary was marked with a round of promotions for staff including Tony Slevin, who has been appointed as a director to lead the expansion of the quantity surveying and project management services, David D’Arcy, director of the engineering-arm, who heads up civil and structural engineering, and Craig Sorley, the newly appointed commercial director of construction.

The night was an opportunity where the team could take stock of all that has been achieved and to thank those who have helped us along the way. Here’s to the next 10 years of NIXON…

Thank you is all we really want to say!

Team NIXON.
