POSITION: STRUCTURAL & CIVIL ENGINEERING BIM TECHNICIAN (MIN 3 YEARS’ EXPERIENCE)

As a one-stop shop, we offer consultancy services in civil & structural engineering, architecture, quantity surveying, project management, project monitoring, principal design of CDM, insurance reinstatement valuations and building construction within the construction industry.
Due to increased client demand, we are now looking to add a project Civil / Structural Technician to our growing engineering team. It is exciting times for NIXON as a company and an opportunity to join a quality team who continue to evolve. We are experiencing consistent growth, mainly due to our excellent quality of service that gains repeat business within the industry.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
If successful, you will be primarily using CAD software (Revit and AutoCAD) to assist in the production and issuing of structural and civil engineering drawings. Other primary tasks include drainage and road level calculations, hand sketching, work planning, assisting engineering site surveys, interpreting specialist reports, and project administrative duties.
Good communication skills are essential with clients and design teams as well as representing NIXON at meetings and on sites.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Require at least 3 years’ experience within the engineering consultancy sector.
- Must have an understanding of building structures and construction principles.
- Experience in drafting of building projects using concrete, steelwork, timber, and masonry.
- Must be competent in the use of Autodesk Revit and Autodesk AutoCAD software.
- Require HNC or HND in Civil Engineering, or equivalent CAD qualification.
