“Topping out” of Scotway House as the build reaches the 14th storey.
NIXON team gathered with Structured House Group, GRAHAM and BOHO to mark the latest milestone on the £40million development along the Clydeside.
NIXON is the lead employers agents, project managers and principal designer on what is a major project for Glasgow’s Clydeside to transform the site into new student accommodation.
The ceremony marked a major milestone in the development of Scotway House in Glasgow.
Representatives from the team gathered at the summit of the 14-storey building to mark the transformation.
This is the first in a series of projects planned by Structured House Group and NIXON.
Scotway House is based on the site of the former Meadowside Shipyard Office, which recorded the build of more than 30 anchor line ships in its day and will house almost 400 students when it opens next year.
Craig Inglis, CEO of SHG said “We have reached a significant milestone on the build and we are proud our new accommodation will be a landmark along the Clyde. Investment in Glasgow is one our key ambitions and to continue the transformation of this great city as a place people want to live, work, visit and invest.
“Our aspirations for the city are to build excellent developments, provide jobs, boost the local economy, and to see a sizeable amount of investment that supports the ambitions of this city. That is why we are excited to see the transformation of Scotway House that continues to grow week-by-week.”
