NIXON is seeking a Site Coordinator to report to the Site Manager (SM).
The successful candidate will assist the site manager in complying with the safety and welfare and coordination of all site activities.
Reporting to the Site Manager and respective responsible teams, candidates must fulfil the following criteria:
- A recent graduate with a BSc (Hons) in Construction Management or in the final year of the undergraduate programme
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Possess good communication skills to deal with members of the public and other stakeholders
- Experienced in Fire-Marshall training
- First-Aid Trained
- Be equipped to implement NIXON’s robust H&S policy
- Monitor, report and evaluate Health and Safety on site i.e. report to site agent any poor H&S practices
- Be sufficient in IT, numeracy and literacy skills to fulfil responsibilities on site
- Co-ordinate the activities on subcontractors on site
- Demonstrate good knowledge of plant operations, maintenance and capabilities
- Demonstrate an ability to complete all necessary paperwork associated with all areas of responsibility as instructed by Site Manager or Senior Management
- Show sound knowledge of materials used on maintenance and construction works
- Sufficient personnel management skills to fulfil objectives

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the implementation of NIXON’s H&S policy
- Observe and comment on the adherence to RA & MS (in partnership with the Site Manager)
- Carry out both visitor/ worker inductions
- Check all sign-in books are up to date on a daily basis
- Conduct daily inspection of site boundaries
- Carry out daily inspections of access equipment & scaffolds
- Inspect the welfare & toilet facilities
- Update or report to the SM if any alterations need to be made to the fire plan
- Actively manage the traffic management plan – liaising with the SM and updating plan as site activities dictate
- Be actively involved with the visual checking/ inspection of ‘ temporary works’ – in accordance with the temporary works plan
- Monitor the levels of first aid equipment on site – liaise directly with NIXON’s main office for any supplies
- Complete accident reports where necessary
- Administer first aid & log activities in accident book
- Perform daily inspections of the firefighting equipment
- Daily inspections of temporary lighting – liaise with SM to ensure that any task specific lighting requirements are in place
- Marshall deliveries & supervise the storage of materials on site
- Check all deliveries against delivery notes
- Supervise skip loading and ordering of replacement skips – ensuring waste collection notes are stored /filed appropriately
- Perform periodic inspections of the site exit routes
- General Duties
- Supervise agency labour – reporting any inadequacy of basic training or performance to the SM
- Marshall the use of temporary power leads
- Report directly to the SM any issues / or concerns with the working practices of any personnel on site
- Report on any behavioral issues with any site staff
- Report any issues or concerns over drink/ drug abuse on site
- Keep the SM updated on the levels of materials on site
- Supervising the Installing / fitting protection to finished joinery
- Attend daily meeting with Site Agent to clarify tasks for the day
